Tigran Lalayan is an Armenian automotive designer based in Turin, Italy. He currently serves as Creative Chief Designer at Pininfarina, working at the Pininfarina’s headquarters in Cambiano. After earning a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Tigran pursued his passion for automotive design and completed a Master’s degree in Car Design at Scuola Politecnica di Design (SPD) in Milan. Tigran joined Pininfarina in 2015 following a three-month internship. Over the past decade, he has contributed to numerous design research and development projects for major OEMs, startups, and bespoke automotive programs. In his current role, he leads exterior design teams across the entire development process, from early concept ideation through to final production. Among the projects he has led are the Viritech Apricale (2022), Foxtron Model D (2024), and JAS Tensei (2025).
